In Jaipur, IndiGo Airlines recently conducted a cabin crew interview round with over 120 to130 candidates participating. Before You Go: Application & Document Checklist
Before attending the interview, candidates must complete the online application form. Once submitted, a reference number is sent via email this must be printed and carried to the venue.
Along with it, make sure you carry the following documents:
- Copy of your Passport
- Aadhaar Card and PAN Card
- Mark sheets of Class 10 and 12
- A clean, professional Resume
- Two recent passport-size photographs (white or blue background)
Round 1: Personal Introduction
Groups of 10 candidates are called together. Each is asked to introduce herself with a clear and confident “Tell me about yourself.”
How to Prepare:
- Prepare a 30 to 40 second self-introduction in English including your name, background, interests, and reason for joining aviation.
- Maintain eye contact with the interviewers.
- Keep a pleasant smile, calm tone, and confident posture.
- Be ready for follow-up questions such as:
- What are your hobbies?
- Why do you want to become a cabin crew member?
- Tell us something unique about yourself.

Round 2: Group Discussion (GD)
In this round, 6 to 10 candidates are given a topic to discuss while recruiters silently observe.
How to Prepare:
- Speak clearly and briefly 2 to 3 lines at a time.
- Avoid interrupting others or dominating the discussion.
- Topics may include “Why is grooming important for cabin crew?” or “Should mobile phones be allowed on flights?”
- Evaluation is based on language, clarity, politeness, teamwork, and composure.
Round 3: BMI & Grooming Check
This stage assesses your physical presentation and grooming standards.
How to Prepare:
- Ensure your height and weight are within the airline’s BMI criteria.
- Outfit must be well-fitted, clean, and ironed. Avoid flashy colors or heavy accessories.
- Maintain neat hair, trimmed nails, and clear skin. Tattoos or scars should not be visible.
- Walk, sit, and stand with poise and confidence.
Round 4: Resume-Based Questions
Interviewers refer to your resume and ask deeper, skill-based questions.
How to Prepare:
- Keep your resume updated, error-free, and well-formatted.
- Be ready to discuss your listed hobbies, skills, and achievements.
- Common questions include:
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- How have you used your skills in real life?
- How do your hobbies support a cabin crew career?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Support your answers with real-life examples.
